Goessling, USA Breaks Ground on new Facility in Sullivan County, Tennessee

Goessling USA, Inc. has broken ground on its new headquarters and manufacturing facility located in the Tri-County Industrial Park in Piney Flats, Tennessee.

Founded in 1990 as a subsidiary of privately-owned firm, Dr. Ing. Gössling Maschinenfabrik GmbH (headquarterd in Schermbeck, Germany), Goessling USA, Inc. has developed into a major supplier of conveyors, interlinking systems and centrifuges for the fastener industry. With its wide range of conveyors and other machinery such as lift-tip units and scrap distribution systems, Goessling USA, Inc., also provides solutions for other industries such as stamping, forging and casting.

Following several years of constantly increasing order volumes, a larger production facility is required to cope with the growing demand. With a surface area totaling 6.39 acres, the property located in the Tri-County Industrial Park owned by Goessling USA, Inc. will offer sufficient space for the necessary enlargement and will also allow for future expansion. The new building will encompass 12,500 square feet of office and production space. This new facility will not only make it possible to increase the output of machinery which is presently manufactured in the USA, but will also allow the manufacture of larger conveyor systems previously manufactured at the German facility for the North American market, potentially creating new jobs in the Tri-Cities region.

Construction is expected to begin Fall 2014 with completion of the facility in Spring 2015.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Dr. Goessling thanked all officials and partners for their assistance and support and expressed confidence in the development opportunities this new facility will provide for the Tri-Cities region.

Alan Bridwell, Executive Director of the Northeast Tennessee Valley Regional Industrial Development Associaiton, said, “It is exciting to see Goessling USA transition from a sales and distribution operation to manufacturing. With the center of the North American automotive sector being in the southeastern states, Goessling is well positioned to serve this huge developing market.”
