Team Technologies to create 160 Jobs in Hamblen County, TN

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Team Technologies, Inc. officials announced today that the Morristown-based company will invest $6 million to expand operations and create 160 jobs in Hamblen County.

“I’d like to thank Team Technologies for its renewed commitment to creating jobs in Northeast Tennessee,” Haslam said. “Tennessee is known internationally for being a leader in the health care industry. The continued growth by Team Technologies in our state’s health care sector is terrific news as we work to make Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“Last year, Tennessee ranked second in the nation in exports of medical equipment and supplies,” Rolfe said. “Team Technologies plays a key role in Tennessee’s thriving health care sector and I’m pleased to see it continue to invest in Hamblen County and the Morristown community.”

Team Technologies is a leading custom contract manufacturer of dental, medical, cosmetic and industrial products. Founded in 1988, Team Technologies is headquartered in Morristown, where it also operates its main production facility.

The company’s investment will expand manufacturing capabilities and product lines at the Morristown facility.

“Team Technologies is very thankful of the support we have received from the State of Tennessee and Hamblen County,” Marshall White, president and CEO of Team Technologies, said. “Our relationship with state and local agencies is a great partnership which has helped enable Team Technologies to continue to invest in our people and to grow our business, which ultimately benefits our community.”

In 2013, Team Technologies announced it would invest $11 million to upgrade its productions facility in Morristown and create 200 jobs.

Local officials welcomed Team Technologies more recent expansion in Hamblen County.

“Whenever an industry makes this kind of expansion it’s a clear sign of its success as a business and its confidence in the local community,” Morristown Mayor Gary Chesney said. “Team Technologies has long been an important part of Morristown’s industrial base and I applaud their decision to grow the company here.”

“This announcement is another indication that Morristown and Hamblen County are a great place to do business,” Hamblen County Mayor Bill Brittain said. “Team Technologies is a company that was born here and continues to thrive thanks to its management team and employees. I am extremely proud of this company and its success.”
